Wood Hill held its annual Scholastic Book Fair this year from Nov. 18-22. This year's fair was both successful and fun, says Book Fair Chairperson Liz Godfrey. The fair was run by PAC and earned $1,806, more than any fair in the past three years. Students were able to purchase great fiction and nonfiction titles. It was a great event to promote reading.
"This means that we have $756 to use for teacher wish lists. We sold a lot of holiday gifts and sold out of many book titles. There was a great turnout every day for the 'guessing game' and a lot of fun giving out prizes," said Godfrey.
Godfrey thanks the volunteers, teachers and students for their help in running the fair, advertising and giving suggestions for future fairs.
